Use Caravel Sync only with product feeds you are authorised to access, use and redistribute. Do not submit customer records, stolen credentials or protected content without permission. The app offers no scraping features. You are responsible for source rights, product accuracy, currency, tax treatment and consumer-facing claims.
Caravel Sync is free: there are no paid plans and no charges. It includes import and export profiles, manual runs and daily or hourly schedules.
Limits per shop: up to 10,000 synced variants, up to 30 runs per UTC day and 50 MB per feed file. Manual, scheduled and preview runs count toward the daily runs; a rollback is never refused. Above the variant limit, new variants are not synced and the run shows how many; variants already synced keep updating, and nothing is deleted or undone because of a limit. When the daily runs are used up, new runs start again the next UTC day, and schedules then use the latest feed. The dashboard warns before and when a limit is reached. At least 60 seconds must separate new runs. A shop runs one job at a time. Individual parsed records are limited to 512 KB; catalog bulk responses and export artifacts to 256 MB. This version supports at most 250 variants, images and metafields per product. API limits may delay or block work; schedules are best effort, not delivery guarantees.
The first import and each changed profile require review. Dry run does not write products. A price guard holds the entire run for approval. Writes can partially succeed when an API call fails; review history before resuming. Rollback restores stored values and deletes products created by the run, but conflicting later edits or stock changes stop restoration. Snapshots expire after 30 days. Keep independent backups and review source data before approving a run.
Plain FTP and unauthenticated HTTP are unencrypted transports. Prefer HTTPS, FTPS or SFTP. SFTP requires a verified host-key fingerprint. Export URLs are bearer secrets; distribute them only to authorised recipients.
